Last week i was lucky enough to be able to go over to stay with my friend Sam for a couple of days so i could play with all her craft goodies (oh and Fraz of course!).
in no particular order;
i tried different mixes of mediums and primary elements to see which gave me the closest finish to an actual silk
I then moved on to play with the gelli plate, there wasn't enough room to get the big one out so i just used the smaller one
For some reason i have been quite scared of using mine (it hasn't been out of the packet), i then tried it with some metallic paints
Then i had a play with some shaving foam and ink, i think Sam found it very odd that i hadn't done this before
i then made some tags
and finally i did some cracking! AND IT WORKED!!!
Its my anniversary tomorrow so there is another heart that i did but its already wrapped up for Hubby. I had a great time and thanks to Sam for having me, if you want to see more pics then check out Sams blog.
Great effect with the metallic paints on the gelli plate. Happy Anniversary for tomorrow, Saturday is our 35th!
ReplyDeleteOooh great that you've blogged your plays, had a fab time too, and I know Fraz did - thanks for coming over, you know you are welcome any time xxx
ReplyDeleteLove your play day makes - and especially the crackled heart!! Happy Anniversary to you and John for tomorrow, hope you have a great day. xx
ReplyDeleteI just found you through twitter and I am glad that I did. I am relatively new at this mixed media stuff, but just get all giddy when I see people doing stuff with mediums, paints and stuff. I love making cards but am a beginner there too. I am excited to share in your adventures. Have a great weekend!
